Philly PAL / Case Study

What is PhillyPAL?

Police Athletic League of Philadelphia is “Cops Helping Kids”

Established in 1947, Police Athletic League of Philadelphia is a non-profit, premier youth-serving organization which works to reduce crime, promote character development and improve educational outcomes in Philadelphia’s highest crime and lowest income neighborhoods.Philly PAL centers are safe heavens for more than 17,000 of Philadelphia’s kids.

Non-profit organizations rely on donations from their supporters and Philly PAL was not seeing the traffic levels that generated a significant amount of revenue. They felt that a thorough refresh of the brand and their online presence would help drive new interest in the organization, as well as increase donations and revenue. In addition to having a refreshed look, the mobile-friendly platform is built on a secure, user-friendly interface that is easily maintained. This platform also introduced new tools, such as a blog, online class schedule and registration has made their site more inviting for supporters to engage and further participate in Philly PAL.

“Art and the team at Studio Hartev helped us revamp our web presence in early 2016. Our previous website was stale, outdated, and not reflective of our brand. Studio Hartev walked us through a process that helped us identify what we needed from our site today, and in the future. Best of all they built it with us so we could gain a better understanding of the mechanics of the site and so we are able to make changes moving forward – a critical component for any non-profit. Simply put, Studio Hartev helped take our web presence from the Flintstones to the Jetsons and the feedback (and analytics) have been great.”
